But why did I leave a stellar, 20-year corporate career to start The Austen Bronte Consultancy?
On 25th May 2020, George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis.
Mr. Floyd was 46 years old and was killed during an arrest for allegedly using a counterfeit bill.
The circumstances surrounding his death led to protests across the world and a seismic, global shift in acknowledging that racism still remains a problem in our society.
This shift became the foundation for many organisations to tackle discrimination in all its forms. Following Mr. Floyd's death, a number of large organisations reached out to me for help and support on how best to drive positive change within their organisations.
As an experienced global, C-suite, board-level leader and diversity campaigner with a first career in corporate law and a second career in healthcare, I have a unique blend of experience to offer.
Alongside this, I have gained over 20 years' experience of successfully leading on and driving positive cultural change within corporates and firms - and I have received many awards and recognitions for this work.
Our clients recognise the value I bring and trust me to lead positive change within their organisations.
And being the mother of a young black man made what happened to George Floyd deeply personal.
Through The Austen Bronte Consultancy, I am driving much-needed, positive change across a wide range of organisations.
